Graphite electrode for non-ferrous metals production

In copper produce, graphite electrodes are used in smelting process to melt copper concentrates and produce copper matte, and it is then further processed into refined copper. The electrodes are used in the refining process to purify the copper,too.

Graphite electrodes are used in the electrolysis process to produce zinc from zinc sulfate solutions in zinc production process. The electrodes are immersed in the electrolyte and a direct current is passed through them, making the zinc to deposit on the cathode.

In nickel produce field, graphite electrodes often used in smelting process to melt nickel concentrates and produce nickel matte, which is then further processed into refined nickel.

Applications

Aluminum production: Graphite electrodes are used as conductive elements in the electrolytic process to transform alumina into liquid aluminum.

Copper production:During smelting process,graphite electrodes are used to melt copper concentrates and produce copper matte, which is further processed into refined copper. The electrodes are used in the refining process to purify the copper,too.

Zinc production: During the electrolysis process,graphite electrodes are used to produce zinc from zinc sulfate solutions.
