On March 12 (local time), the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) announced the results of its final vote. The Commission made a negative final determination in the anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations on Active Anode Material (graphite anode materials for lithium-ion batteries) from China.

Specifically, the USITC found that imports of these materials from China do not materially retard the establishment of an industry in the United States.

Under U.S. trade remedy procedures, a negative determination by the USITC terminates the investigation, meaning there is no longer a legal basis for imposing any additional duties.
