The Areas of Application in Graphite Electrode

Graphite electrodes commonly can be utilized in Electric arc furnaces for the purpose of steel melting. Electric arc furnace (EAF) melting is a part of an essential step in the steelmaking industry. In terms of quality, graphite electrodes generally reflect the melting efficiency and product quality. The great features of graphite electrodes are based on fabulous electrical resistivity, solid thermal shock conflict and excellent automatic power. While used for dissolving steel fragments, it also applies to the utilization in aluminum, silicon metal manufacturer and other smelting development by following the operation principles of transporting electrical power from the power providing to the melting in EAF.
From the feedback of our customers, we found that graphite electrodes also widely applied in the chemical industry, such as electrodeposition, electrolysis, electrochemical process etc. For instance, recently a company ordered hundreds of graphite rods from us, which will be used as screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) in the lab. The electrochemical performances of graphite pencil electrodes are mainly determined by the features of graphite pencil electrodes. What's more, the formulation and purity of the chemicals affect the electrochemical performance of these electrodes. Due to the remarkable electrical conductivity and versatility of graphite electrodes, the applications of graphite electrodes play important roles in the fundamental electrochemistry research area, such as screen-printed electrodes.
In addition to those two main fields, graphite electrodes can also be found in the power or energy industry and glass industry, etc. For energy storage purpose, synthetic graphite products have contributed to the application of electrodes in energy storage devices, such as batteries and supercapacitors because of their high electrical conductivity. Based on the development of high technology, we believe we can find more and more creative utilizations in various areas.
