Grade High Power Graphite Electrodes (HP) are mainly made of high-quality needle coke, coal pitch and other raw materials, which are processed by calcination, medium crushing, screening, batching, kneading, pressing, roasting, impregnation, graphitization and other processes. After impregnation treatment, the performance is higher than that of the RP electrode, the resistivity is relatively low, and the allowable current density is large. Normally, HP graphite electrodes are suitable for high power electric arc furnaces with a melting capacity of 400Kv.A/t per ton. High power graphite electrodes have fantastic features of higher purity, density and chemical stability. Also, low coefficient of thermal expansion, resistance to cracking and spalling and thermal shock support them widely used in various DA/AC high power electric arc furnaces.
