Precautions for using high-purity ultra-high power graphite electrodes
1. When selecting the diameter of ultra-high power graphite electrodes, please refer to the current load and current density allowed by the electrode.
2. The transportation and storage of ultra-high power graphite electrodes should avoid rain, snow and water, and must be dry before use.
3. During loading and unloading and transportation, ultra-high power graphite electrodes should be handled with care to protect the threads and prevent impact and damage. It is best to use special lifting equipment when loading and unloading.
4. Before connecting the new electrode and connector, the electrode screw hole must be sucked clean with compressed air, and then the connector and electrode are installed as needed. When the end faces of the two electrodes differ by 20-30mm, perform secondary soot blowing, and then tighten the electrode and joint.
5. If the electrode is lifted with an iron joint, the joint thread must not be deformed to prevent damage to the electrode thread.
6. When connecting the electrode, use a torque wrench to connect the electrode according to the specified torque value.
7. The electric furnace electrode must not be shaken during operation to prevent the electrode joint from loosening, breaking or breaking.
8. The electrode holder must clamp the electrode within the electrode safety line.
9. To prevent the electrode from breaking when the unmelted material collapses, the electrode should be raised in time according to the melting situation and the unmelted scrap steel should be pushed into the furnace pool.
