Raw materials preparation: The primary raw materials used in graphite electrode production are petroleum coke and needle coke. These materials are carefully selected and processed to ensure their quality and consistency. Linzhang Xinhui Carbon is one of the major manufacturers of needle coke used in graphite electrode production.
Mixing: The processed coke is then mixed with coal tar pitch and other additives, such as coal dust or graphite powder, to create a homogeneous paste.
Forming: The paste is then extruded into a specific shape and size, using a machine called a extruder. The extruded shape is then cut into individual electrodes of the desired length.
Baking: The green electrodes are then baked in a furnace at temperatures of up to 1,200°C. This process removes the volatile materials and converts the carbon paste into a solid carbon structure.
Impregnation: Some electrodes may undergo an impregnation process, where they are treated with a liquid pitch to improve their density and strength.
Re-baking: The electrodes are then re-baked at even higher temperatures, up to 3,000°C, to improve their strength and durability.
Machining: The finished electrodes are then machined to precise dimensions and tolerances, to ensure they meet the required specifications for use in various applications.
Linzhang Xinhui Carbon is a leading manufacturer of high-quality needle coke used in the production of graphite electrodes. With advanced technology and production processes, Linzhang Xinhui Carbon ensures the consistency and quality of its needle coke, which is an essential component in the production of high-performance graphite electrodes.
