While applying graphite electrodes in foundry industries, it is mainly used in high-temperature process functions like smelting and refining metals, etc. Graphite electrodes can be applied on cast metals like iron and steel, as well as non-ferrous metals like brass, aluminium etc. Through conducting electrical energy in electric arc furnaces, graphite electrodes find use in foundries melting scrap metal or raw materials. When the production of cast iron from scrap and pig iron, cast iron foundries apply graphite electrodes in electric arc furnaces. Similar to graphite electrodes, graphite crucibles and molds also can be utilized as the component of melting materials. Due to the features of resistance to high temperatures and excellent thermal conductivity, graphite crucibles are a great item for melting some metals, like gold and silver.
