Precautions for Graphite Electrode Installation
1. Graphite electrodes should be stored in a dry and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and water.
2. Graphite electrodes should be handled with care to avoid impact or mechanical damage during transportation and installation.
3. Before installation, the graphite electrode should be inspected for any cracks, breaks, or electrically conductive particles on the surface.
4. The diameter and length of the graphite electrodes should be inspected prior to installation to ensure that they are within the specified tolerance.
5. The connection threads on the electrode should be inspected for any damage or deformities prior to installation.
6. The graphite electrode should be carefully inserted into the electrode holder, making sure that the threads are aligned and tightened properly.
7. The tightness of the electrode holder and the electrical contact between the electrode and holder should be checked prior to energizing the furnace.
8. The graphite electrode should be carefully lowered into the furnace to avoid damage to the electrode or furnace lining.
9. The electrode should be positioned correctly and secured in place prior to energizing the furnace.
10. Graphite electrodes should be replaced regularly according to their usage and wear to ensure optimal performance and safety for the furnace operation.
